About us

Harvest for the Hungry is a project of Eurovangelism. Working in Europe since 1965 we have many years of experience in providing aid and assistance to those living in poverty.

Working with locally accredited social care agencies, churches and other organisations we can ensure your gift goes to those who need it most – regardless of race, religion or background.

Who we help

Anila and her family are just one example of the many existing below the poverty line in Europe today, that need our help.

We are working alongside partners across Europe to provide food for those most in need in their communities – food given with love and no strings attached.

Meeting our partners is often the first step on the road to training and education, and a chance to break out of the cycle of poverty.

As winter approaches, we need your help to make a difference for many more families like Anila's. This winter, we want to be able to help the following:

Children at risk:

The only hot meal many children receive each day is made in a soup kitchen using food sponsored by Harvest for the Hungry.

Families living in poverty:

It's hard to believe that in Europe today there are families living in terrible housing with mud walls and floors, without electricity or running water, and dependant on what they can grow to survive.

An elderly man

The Elderly:

In many parts of Eastern Europe over half the monthly pension for an elderly person will be spent on keeping warm. After the rent and other bills are paid, there is very little left to buy food.

The Homeless:

In Romania, living in the underground pipe system is often the most effective way to stay warm, but there is still no food for the homeless except for scavenging the bins.
